Nature and Wildlife Association (NWA) participated in the Asian Waterfowl Census’ 2025 in Fulbari wetlands in collaboration with Kurseong Forest Division. In the presence of ADFO Mr Rahul Deb Mukherjee, RO Bagdogra Forest Range Mr Sonam Bhutia, Ghospukur RO Pramit Lal, and other forest staff, NWA team members completed the census along with other active NGOs.
We recorded a good number of waterbirds and water dependent birds with a increasing trend in number and species richness than preceding years.
Wetlands are the lungs of the ecosystem and NWA aims a holistic approch to conserve the ecosystem with all it’s flora and fauna.
