Local residents and NWA members rescued a barking deer that had entered a home in Mallabari village under Naxalbari block. The deer was roaming around nearby maize field around 1 pm and then suddenly entered the bedroom and hid under the bed. The deer was safely handed over to Kolabari beat officials. This act of compassion reflects strong community values in wildlife protection and reinforces local commitment to co-existence.
